I designed a letterpress studio to be the opposite of patriarchy and white male supremacy. A physical expression of intersectional feminism that communicated on behalf of a shared humanity, to promote peace by design. Letterpress was a medium that was originally kept from women. It was believed that women couldn’t handle the detail and manual labor of the work, but I often wonder if it wasn’t because they feared what women would say if they had the voice of print to sing their songs.
